Hi this is Antoine Dupont with Katapult Marketing. What we help business owners grow their business. If you’re new here please take a moment and subscribe and make sure to click on the little veil. So you’re notified every time we have a new video. So here are the three things you need to know as a business owner, negative reviews are not always a bad thing. Look, I don’t know how many business have a five star reviews all across the board. If you’ve been in business for a while you’re going to get a one point or another one bad reviews and if you didn’t, you, probably are not trying hard enough being in business Means that most of the time you’re going to do a great job, but once in a while you’re going to leave a client unhappy. In other words happens sometimes and there are two they not so legitimate review so, let’s talk about the legitimate review.
First thing you need to do is you need to answer it asap. Don’t waste time respond immediately and how you This pond is actually more important than the complaint itself, just take responsibility, just say, sorry, for this so that happen and we’re committed to excellence and we wanna do a good job and please come back and see us and we’ll do better next time and then you have the not so legitimate review someone is out to hurt you or hurt your business usually it’s gonna look like very, very long comment with portions of it in all caps and someone is really having a bad day. I don’t know about you But I can tell the difference between a legitimate complaint. Someone that is not so happy and then someone is out to her. I know the difference between one and the other and we all do additionally, if that bad review is the exception and not the rule which means that the vast majority of your reviews, more positive I’m going to be able to see that as you know, it just being something happened and someone is really unhappy but your response, how you responded is going to be a lot more talent that is actual bat review. If the owner and answers properly and professionally, it tells me a lot more about the integrity of that owner. Then the bat review itself say things like I understand how you feel it shouldn’t have been like that show empathy that is going to speak volume to me looking at all those reviews.
Second thing that you can do this very easy is set up, Google alerts. What Google alerts does for you is it will alert you every time your name or your company name is mentioned on the The Internet for example, for me I’m monitor Antoine Dupont in quotes or Katapult Marketing in quotes so every time it’s mentioned on the Internet. I get a notification. You can set Google or to notify you daily weekly or monthly, so you set it up. However, you want but you should get an alert when your name your company name is mention on the Internet and the third thing you should know is you have rights, if you believe That review was posted on Google or on Facebook with deliberate intent to hurt you. You should consult an attorney immediately.
Recently photographer in California, sued a couple over a hundred and 25 dollar fee and sue that couple for a million dollar after they posted a review which she said hurt our business really badly. The court finds that the couple that posted the review did in fact hurt that business and that their claims were either false or inaccurate.
Here’s, what an attorney told me when you’re posting a review, you are completely allowed to post your opinion. Now for example, if I go in the restaurant and I say, “I didn’t like the food and the decor was ugly.” That’s my opinion and I’m allowed to say that any day of the week, however, if I were to
say the food was rented and made me sick that is not an opinion that is a claim and unless I can prove it. I can be sued by the restaurant owner.
So to recap The three things you need to remember with online review, number one respond right away. The speed at which you respond is Super important. Number two monitor your online reputation. You should be notified with emails and you can use Google alert. Number three remember that you have rights. If you believe that they review posted on Google on Facebook, was deliberately written to hurt your business. You have rights and you should consult an attorney and on that note, Have a good day.

Okay so if you’re thinking I got a good website but for some reason, it’s not converting right it’s not giving me enough leads, then this video is for you.
Below is a transcript of the above video where I want to tell you all the things you can do this week to improve the conversion on your website and get more leads.
Alright so tip number one never ever ever use a carousel in the header of your homepage. So why is it such a bad idea to use a carousel well because you and I have zero patience and let’s be honest have you ever gone to a website and clicked on all the carousel look at all the pictures on all the texts I sure haven’t in all the data in the stats that we have available to us it shows that 80 percent of all people never look past the first slide. So in other words you’re spending an enormous amount of time coming up with five six sometimes I’ve seen 10 slides on the home page and nobody’s gonna watch it don’t do it one single image with a nice title. The call-to-action is really all you need you don’t have to bother with all those images and the carousel no body is gonna watch it anyway.
Number two
Ask your visitor to interact with your website so how can you do it on your website. Well you could have a forum ask a quote or download a white paper or calculate the price on a product or service so ask people to interact with your website not just read and watch stuff but ask them to do something.
Tip Number three have clear and precise call-to-action I can tell you the number of websites I go to they have a button like learn more or contact us this is not clear and precise it’s very broad it’s not really appealing what do I mean by being a clear and concise call to action. So for example if on your website you want people to call you and schedule a consultation then the call to action should be called today for a consultation that is clear and precise people know exactly what they’re supposed to do and exactly where they’re going to get out of that call to action and if the way to interact with you is by getting a quote then you should have a button that says ask a quote actually.
Let’s make that button a little bit better. Let’s make it get a quote see that is a lot more direct that’s a lot more precise. You’re going to get a quote and if you want to make that even better you’re going to put your button as get your quote now it implies that is going to be there for not just anybody else’s quote but their quote and if you want to make that even better better better is get your quote today now. It’s clear it’s precise they know exactly what they’re going to get and what they should be doing and tip number four less is more here’s the deal nobody and I mean nobody reads the text on your website look at your own behavior when you go to a website do you read every single paragraph on the website do you go into your bout page and then read all the things you don’t nobody does and try to use bullets as much as possible. See people want the cliff-notes about what they’re going to get what your service is about and one of the best way and the most effective way to have bullets is with a little green check mark for some reason we have seen them being a lot more effective than just the regular bullet. So use green check mark bullets and a lot less text.
And the fifth and last tip for today too through the conversion on your website make sure you have your call to action in multiple formats multiple ways all over your website see you may have a very long homepage and people may decide to take action early on but they may actually decide that halfway through or all the way at the end having only one call to action is not a good idea have it multiple time on multiple places in different format so you can make sure that people are going to take action when they are ready to there’s multiple ways that someone may want to engage with you and you need to provide them all of that information on the home page.
So they can pick the one that works for them if you implement those five easy tips this week or this month I can guarantee you that it will improve the conversion on your website and you’ll get more leads ok so this does it for today.
